"I was at the end of my tether when I contacted Michael White. I had never been to a hypnotherapist before but I knew it couldn't do any harm. I had suffered from depression for many years and at that time I was also suffering from crippling anxiety and panic attacks. I had got so bad that I had to walk out of work as I couldn't cope. I really didn't know what was wrong with me and I just desperately wanted to feel 'normal' again. Michael put me at ease straight away and the minute I opened my mouth, the tears came out. We had a good chat and then we did the session which was enjoyable and successful. I walked out of the room with a smile on my face and the tools to tackle the world. I went back for one more session and now I am a totally different person. I don't even recognise who I was that first day. "After being diagnose with mild depression which for me was very strange as I'm a very strong character and never expected this in my life, I started to have problems with being around crowds in close proximity and even to the point of having panic attacks. I also started to have issues and panic attacks on flights which I have never had before. It's extremely upsetting to feel these emotions and even having your body going into Fight or Flight mode and for you to Try and understand what the hell is going on. I must say at this point I had been given medication for my problems but chose not to take them as a wanted to find another alternative to address my issue without the need of medication. This is where I contacted Michael White.
I had two sessions with Michael the first was 2 hours. The first hour was to talk about my problems and for Michael to understand where he could help me. The second hour was getting down to business. I was made to feel very comfortable in a relaxing environment and Michael started his work. All I can say is that I was open minded to hypnotherapy and relaxed to the situation. The session seemed to go very quickly and Michael address in this session the panic attacks in large crowds and close environments and my mild depression. I thanked Michael and went on my way feeling a little tired but relaxed. That weekend I went to the UK to see my family and decided to head on out for a pint and a meal, guess what... I went into a public house, completely crowded and was a little nervous but had NO attacks not even nothing happened, I felt so relaxed. We then went to an Indian Restaurant walk in completely full to the brim, they sat us down in the middle of a crowded table and again no issues arose I was totally relaxed and in control. I was so amazed and felt overwhelmed that I was finally enjoying a meal without running out feeling sick, claustrophobic and losing my appetite. You must understand that before any of the hypnotherapy this situation would not have happened and I certainly would have been very ill with all the symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety. I was thrilled to bits.
On my return I booked the second session with Michael this was to address my issue with flying, previous to the depression diagnosed I have NEVER had an issue with flying, in fact I was the one jumping up and down enjoying to moment. This session was the biggest one for me as I travel a lot doing photography and flying is paramount to getting around. Michael went to work and did his thing, I can't remember much I just felt totally relaxed and very sleepy. I do remember at the end when waking up it took me a little longer than the first session and was really tired. I was ok after 5 minutes.
Unfortunately I wasn't flying out until July which was a couple of months away and didn't know how it would pan out. July 2015 the big day arrived, flying out to a Greek Island 4 hours flight time, nothing like jumping in the deep end. Guess what. Nothing happened again, I was totally relaxed on the flight, no panic attacks, anxiety, no claustrophobic feelings, nothing at all. It was exactly the same on my return flight. I cannot tell you the weight lifted off my shoulders and the feeling of contentment, feeling relaxed and being at one with myself and in control. I was totally amazed that the hypnotherapy had worked for me and it has changed my outlook on life.
Unfortunately I can't fully explain in words my symptoms before seeing Michael all to say that they were very dark and at the time i wrote some words down to explain my feelings: 'Let me tell you how it feels.' To worry all the time, to feel as if your trapped. A constant wall. It stops you in your tracks and then the panic sets in. Heart beats fast, cold chills, you begin to sweat, feet and hands go numb, taste of metal, ringing ears, everything id to loud. You feel like everyone's watching, witnessing your weakness. Every day is the same, you wish you didn't care, that it didn't feel like this, but it does and it will for a long time. You try to reach out but you're slowly sinking into a pit of darkness, scrambling for a hand to pull you out from its depth, but no one listens. Thank you Michael for everything you have done to help me through my darkness, I am now in the light and in control and I haven't got the words to express my gratitude.
